Detail Itinerary

Day 1

Drive or Fly to Chitwan National Park & Transfer to Resort

Depart from Kathmandu either by a scenic 4-5 hour drive or a 20-minute flight to Bharatpur, Chitwan.
Upon arrival, meet our representative and transfer to a wildlife resort.
Welcome drink and briefing about safari activities.
After lunch, explore the surroundings and visit the Tharu community village.
Evening briefing on upcoming activities and dinner at the resort.
Overnight at a wildlife resort.

Day 2

Elephant Safari, Dugout Canoe Trip & Guided Jungle Walk

Early morning elephant-back safari to explore the dense forests and spot Royal Bengal Tigers, One-horned Rhinoceros, Gaur Bison, and other wildlife.
Return to the resort for breakfast.
Late morning dugout canoe trip along the Rapti River to observe aquatic wildlife such as crocodiles, Gharials, and water birds.
Afternoon guided jungle walk with an experienced naturalist to explore Chitwan’s diverse flora and fauna up close.
Evening Tharu cultural dance performance showcasing the unique traditions of the indigenous Tharu people.

Day 3

Birdwatching & Return to Kathmandu

Early morning birdwatching session with an expert guide to spot some of the 626 recorded bird species.
Breakfast at the resort.
Transfer back to Kathmandu via flight or drive, concluding the Wildlife Safari in Chitwan.

A. Must-Bring Documents

B. Hotel and Power-Related Matters
Chitwan lies in the lowland Terai region where accommodations vary from simple jungle lodges to luxury resorts. Please note:
• Some lodges may experience occasional power cuts, especially during storms or peak summer.
• Not all jungle resorts have full generator backup, though candles or emergency lamps will be provided.
• Hot water supply may be limited to certain hours.
• Wi-Fi availability may vary; internet connections can be slower inside the national park buffer zone.
Guests are advised to maintain realistic expectations regarding facilities inside or near wildlife areas.

C. Flight Details
• Kindly send your flight details as soon as your booking is confirmed.
• Any last-minute changes must be communicated promptly via email to ensure timely airport pickup.
• Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (Kathmandu), look for the Karnali Excursions signboard held by our representative.

D. Passport and Visa-Related Information
• All foreign nationals must have a passport valid for at least 6 months.
• Nepal visas are available from Nepalese Embassies/Consulates or upon arrival at Kathmandu Airport.

E. Remaining Balance
• The remaining tour balance (if applicable) must be paid in USD or GBP (cash) upon arrival in Kathmandu.
• Personal cheques are not accepted.

F. Additional Funds
Please plan to carry approximately USD 700–1000 or GBP 600–800 for personal expenses, including:

K. Tour Logistics
• Airport Pickup/Drop-off: Provided by Karnali Excursions. Please send flight details in advance.
• Transportation: Private vehicle transfers between Kathmandu and Chitwan. Domestic flights can be arranged upon request.
• Luggage: Keep main baggage at the Kathmandu hotel when possible; carry essential items in your daypack.
• Safari Activities: Jeep safaris, canoe rides, birdwatching walks, and village tours are coordinated with national park authorities.
