Essential Information Related to Nepal Bharat Pilgrimage Tour
A. Must Bring Documents:
· The most recent and valid passport.
· Passport-size color photographs.
· Photocopies of the most recent and valid passport.
· Cash-less travel and medical insurance policy.
· Health certificate from a licensed doctor.
B. Hotel and Power-Related Matters:
Some areas have underdeveloped infrastructures, so facilities may not be on par with more developed destinations. Expect occasional shortages of water and power. In some regions, water supply is limited to specific times of the day. If there is a power failure, hotels may provide candles for lighting. C. Flight Details:
Kindly send your flight details as soon as you book your flights. If there are any last-minute changes, please notify us by email immediately. This helps us arrange for your airport pick-up in Kathmandu. Look for the Karnali Excursions sign board at the airport.
D. Passport and Nepal Visa-Related Issues:
· All foreign passport holders must have at least 8 months of validity on their passports.
· Nepal and India visas can be obtained either before your trip through your nearest embassy/consulate or upon arrival at the Kathmandu airport.
E. Remaining Balance:
The remaining balance is to be paid in USD or equivalent GBP in cash upon your arrival in Kathmandu. Karnali Excursions does not accept personal cheques.
F. Additional Funds:
Plan to bring approximately USD 1000 or GBP 800 per person for personal use, including phone calls, mineral water, souvenirs, tips, etc.
G. Travel Insurance – Mandatory:
All travelers must carry cash-less travel insurance that covers emergency rescue (both air and ground), repatriation, tour cancellation, and medical expenses. Please bring two hard copies of your insurance policy, including the policy number and emergency contact details.
H. Preparation, Health, and Medical Related:
· While most of the trip will be conducted by vehicle, you must be in relatively good health. If you have chronic conditions, consult your doctor before the journey.
· Basic medical facilities will be available, and Karnali Excursions will provide a first-aid kit. To stay in good shape, drink at least three liters of water daily and practice regular exercise or hiking before departure.
I. Karnali Staff:
Karnali Excursions employs only experienced, professional staff who have led successful excursions across India, Tibet, and Nepal. Each trip is accompanied by a knowledgeable English- and Hindi-speaking guide to ensure a smooth, enjoyable journey.
J. Risk and Liabilities:
While every effort will be made to ensure your journey is smooth, Karnali Excursions is not responsible for changes due to factors beyond our control, such as government restrictions, landslides, political disturbances, flight cancellations, or medical emergencies. Any additional costs due to these circumstances will be borne by the pilgrims.
K. Yatra Logistics:
· You will be picked up and dropped off at the airport. Please provide your flight details in advance.
· Each participant will be provided a reasonably sized duffle bag for the duration of the Yatra. Your normal baggage will be stored at the hotel in Delhi or a designated location.
· Ensure your backpack contains personal essentials like snacks and valuables. The duffle bag will be transported separately.
· Bring an adaptor (220-240 volts) for charging your electronic devices.
· Wifi and internet are available for most of the journey. You can also buy local SIM cards at India/Nepal/Sri Lanka airports or use your home-based cell phone if it has roaming coverage.
