Overview:
Chitwan National Park, located 170 km southwest of Kathmandu, is one of the finest game reserves in Southeast Asia. Established in 1973 as Nepal’s first national park, it was later recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984. Home to over 50 species of mammals, 40 species of reptiles, and 626 species of birds, the park boasts diverse habitats, including Sal forests, riverine forests, and expansive grasslands. The park is renowned for its incredible wildlife, including the illusive Royal Bengal Tigers, Greater One-horned Rhinoceros, majestic Gaur Bison, colossal Asian wild Elephants, shaggy Sloth Bears, agile Common Leopards, elegant deer, and slumbering Gharial Crocodiles.

Itinerary at a Glance
Day 01: Drive or Fly to Chitwan National Park & Transfer to Resort
- Depart from Kathmandu either by a scenic 4-5 hour drive or a 20-minute flight to
- Upon arrival, meet our representative and transfer to a wildlife resort.
- Welcome drink and briefing about safari activities.
- After lunch, explore the surroundings and visit the Tharu community village.
- Evening briefing on upcoming activities and dinner at the resort.
- Overnight at a wildlife resort.
Day 02: Elephant Safari, Dugout Canoe Trip & Guided Jungle Walk
- Early morning elephant-back safari to explore the dense forests and spot Royal Bengal Tigers, One-horned Rhinoceros, Gaur Bison, and other wildlife.
- Return to the resort for breakfast.
- Late morning dugout canoe trip along the Rapti River to observe aquatic wildlife such as crocodiles, Gharials, and water birds.
- Afternoon guided jungle walk with an experienced naturalist to explore Chitwan’s diverse flora and fauna up close.
- Evening Tharu cultural dance performance showcasing the unique traditions of the indigenous Tharu people.
- Overnight at a wildlife resort.
Day 03: Birdwatching & Return to Kathmandu
- Early morning birdwatching session with an expert guide to spot some of the 626 recorded bird species.
- Breakfast at the resort.
- Transfer back to Kathmandu via flight or drive, concluding the Wildlife Safari in
