Tour Days

  • Day 1: Arrive Srinagar and sightseeing
    One of our representatives will meet at airport or Tourist Reception Centre if you are traveling by land. S/he will arrange your immediate transfer to houseboat for overnight stay. After settling down at the houseboat, later on, you will be taken out for a visit to Mogul Garden “Nishat” (The Garden of Pleasure) and “Shalimar” (Abode of All). An hour long boat ride on Dal Lake on a decorated boat called Shikara will be post your lunch activity. Overnight in a houseboat.
  • Day 2: Drive to Kargil
    4-5 hours drive, 205km driving distance
    The journey from Srinagar to Kargil takes you through some of the magnificent vistas for which Kashmir is renowned. The journey is pretty straight forward and you will be in Sonamarg in couple of hours; take a breather here and marvel at the beauty of Sonamarg i.e. meadows of gold.  From Sonamarg the landscape starts changing dramatically all the way till the famous Zojila La pass (3,548m). Within an hour of crossing Zojila La, you would be at Drass.  From here it is a straight run to Kargil and you will be there in less than an hour. Overnight in a tourist standard hotel at Kargil.
  • Day 3: Drive to Leh
    5-6 hours drive, 235 driving distance
    After driving 40 odd Kms down the road is the town of Mulbek, a sleepy town which many would pass through without knowing the fact that next to the road is a statue of Maitreya, the future Buddha. It is believed that the 9 meter high statue carved out of solid rock was built in 7th or 8th century. Although one is not allowed to take photographs of the statue, the statue itself is a must see for any one passing through Mulbek. A short ride from Mulbek will take you to 3,718m high Namkila La, a windy yet scenic pass. Roughly 40kms Namkila La is Fotu La, the highest point on the Srinagar – Leh highway, (4,109m).After short yet scenic ride/drive, you will reach the village of Lamayuru, Ladakh, the most famous and one of the oldest Gompas. Take some timeout here for a quick photo shoot and a visit to Gompa, else plan a dedicated day for it and move on. Few Kms down the road from Lamayuru are the Hangro Loops; the 18 loops are fast yet sharp loops with steep gorges, drive/ride carefully here. Next major attraction comes in the form of Gurudwara Patthar Sahib located in the town of Nimmu (55kms from Leh), beyond which it is fast and straight forward drive/ride to Leh. Overnight in a hotel.
  • Day 04: Drive to Nubra Valley
    3-4 hours drive, 150 Km driving distance
    This morning we drive to Nubra Valley via Khardong La (Highest Motor-able road in the world, 5,603m) and arrive to Hunder by afternoon where hot lunch will be served after we check in the camp. Afternoon is at leisure to explore Deskit, Hunder Villages and camel safari in Sand dunes between Deskit and Hunder Village. Overnight in a hotel in Nubra valley.
  • Day 05: Drive to Leh
    3-4 hours drive, 150 Km driving distance
    Visit Deskit Monastery first thing in the morning after breakfast, from where we can witness some magnificent views of Nubra Valley. After inspiring ourselves with grand view of Nubra Valley, we will drive back to Leh via Route over Khardong La Pass. Overnight in a hotel in Leh.
  • Day 06: Drive to Pangong Lake
    3-4 hours drive, 170km driving distance
    An early morning start is imperative so that we can spend maximum time to explore the famous Pangong Lake (4,420m). After breakfast we will board on our vehicle/s and head towards Changla Pass (5,290m), which is the third highest motorable road in the world. Soon after crossing Changla, we will arrive Pangong, it is the highest salt water lake in the world, shared by two countries, India & China. We will enjoy our lunch beside the Banks of beautiful Pangong Lake. We will stroll leisurely around the Pangong Lake later in the afternoon. Overnight in a hotel at Pangong.
  • Day 07: Drive to Leh
    3-4 hours drive, 170km driving distance
    We will enjoy mesmerizing sunrise on Pangong Lake and drive back to Leh after having our breakfast. Enroute, we will visit to Hemis, Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace. Overnight in a hotel at Leh.

  • Day 08: Depart for onward journey
    We will provide a private vehicle for airport transfer.
