In the Indian Garhwal Himalayas lies the Char Dham, 4 of Hinduism’s most holy places of pilgrimage, nestled in the high valleys of the Himalayan Mountains. Outline Itinerary

Preperation Days

  • Day 01 (20 September, 2017 Wednesday): Arrive at the New Delhi Airport and transfer to hotel
    One of representatives of Karnali Excursions will receive at the airport and arrange immediate transfer to hotel. Karnali team leader will deliver a detailed briefing on Char Dham Yatra. Overnight in a tourist standard hotel on full board basis.

Yatra Days

  • Day 02 (21 Sep 2017 Thursday): Drive to Haridwar
    We will drive to Haridwar. Upon our arrival, we will check in hotel and ease at the leisure. We will attend the evening Ganga Aarati in Haridwar.
  • Day 03 (22 Sep 2017 Friday): Drive to Rishikesh and onto Barkot
    170km driving distance, 6 hours drive
    After breakfast and exploring major highlights of Haridwar, we will drive to Rishikesh and onto Barkot. Overnight in a tourist standard hotel on full board basis.
  • Day 04 (23 Sep 2017 Saturday):  A side trip to Yamunotri (Barkot-Yamunotri-Barkot), 42 driving distance and 7 km trekking
    After our breakfast, we will drive to Janaki Chatti via Hanuman Chatti and Phool Chatti. We will start trekking of 7 km to Yamunotri where we will take a holy dip in Garam Kund and then perform Puja and Darshan of Shree Yamuna Jee. After holy dip, Puja and Darshan of Yamuna Jee, we will trek back to Janaki Chatti and drive to Barkot. We will spend overnight in a tourist standard hotel at Barkot.
  • Day 05 (24 Sep 2017 Sunday): Drive to Uttar Kashi (Harshil)
    82 km driving distance and 4 hours drive
    After having breakfast, we will leave for Uttar Kashi, a drive of 82 kilometres. Enroute, we will visit Prakateshwar Cave. We will visit the Vishwanath Temple in the evening. Uttar Kashi is situated on the bank of the holy Bhagirathi Ganga. The temple of Lord Vishwanath is located here where there is a massive iron trident. We will spend overnight in a tourist standard hotel on full board basis.
  • Day 06 (25 Sep 2017 Monday): Drive to Gomukh and onto Bhoj-Basa
    After breakfast, we will drive to Gomukh. We will perform our ritual and then we will drive to Bhoj-Basa. We will spend overnight in a tourist standard hotel on full board basis.
  • Day 07 (26 Sep 2017 Tuesday): Gangotri Darshan and drive to Uttar Kashi (Harshil)
    Today, first of all, we will do Darshan of Gongotri and then we will drive to Uttar Kashi (Harshil). We will spend overnight in a tourist standard hotel on full board basis.
  • Day 08 (27 Sep 2017 Wednesday):  Drive to Rudra Prayag (Gupt Kashi)
    165 km driving distance and 4-5 hours drive
    After having breakfast, we will drive to Tehri Dam and then we will continue to Rudra-Prayag. We will spend overnight in a tourist standard hotel on full board basis.
  • Day 09 (28 Sep 2017 Thursday): Helicopter ride to Kedarnath
    We will fly to Kedarnath by helicopter, visit major shrines of Kedarnath and return to Gupt Kashi. We will spend overnight in a hotel on full board basis.
  • Day 10 (29 Sep 2017 Friday): Gupt Kashi-Rudra Prayag-Pipalkoti
    157 km driving distance and 6 hours drive
    After morning Puja and Darshan at the temple, we will leave for trekking to Gorikund and drive back to Rudra-Prayag/Pipalkoti. We will spend overnight in a tourist standard hotel on full board basis.
  • Day 11 (30 Sep 2017 Saturday): Rudra-Parag/Pipalkoti-Badrinath
    72 km driving distance and 2 hours drive
    After our breakfast, we will leave for Shree Badrinath, en-route we will also visit Narsimha Temple. After settling in the hotel, we will take the holy Darshan of Shree Badrinath and spend rest of our time exploring Mana village. Mana village is the last village before the Tibetan border. We will have a Darshan of Vyas Gupha, Bhim Pul and Sararswati River. We will spend overnight in a hotel on full board basis.
  • Day 12 (01 Oct 2017 Sunday): Badrinath-Srinagar/Dev-Prayag
    270km driving distance and 9 hours drive
    After breakfast, we will drive to Srinagar/Dev-Prayag. Dev-Prayag is a town and a “Nagar Panchayat” in Tehri Garhwal district, in the state of Uttarakhand. Dev-Prayag is one of the Panch-Prayags (five confluences) of the Alakananda River where the Alakananda and Bhagirathi Ganga rivers meet and from here take the name Ganga or Holy River Ganges. We will spend overnight in a tourist standard hotel on full board basis.
  • Day 13 (02 Oct 2017 Monday): Srinagar-Dev-Prayag-Rishikesh
    After having breakfast, we will drive back to Rishikesh. Once again, we will enjoy the evening Arati in Rishikesh. We will spend overnight in a hotel on full board basis.

Return to Delhi

  • Day 14 (03 Oct 2017 Tuesday): Drive to Delhi
    We will drive to Delhi. If time permits, we will explore Akshardham Temple too. We will spend overnight in a hotel on full board basis.
  • Day 15 (04 Oct 2017 Wednesday): Depart for onward journeyKarnali Excursions will provide a private vehicle for airport transfer.
